Job Summary:
Are you passionate about cybersecurity and eager to learn how to identify and exploit security vulnerabilities in critical systems? Securin is seeking motivated Offensive Security Interns to join our Offensive Security Group. As part of the team, you'll gain hands-on experience emulating real-world attacks, conducting offensive security assessments, and contributing to protecting Fortune 100 companies, critical infrastructure, and public sector agencies.
This internship is designed to provide a foundation for students interested in offensive security. It offers mentorship and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting offensive security assessments, including red team operations and vulnerability research, under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Learn and apply adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) to emulate real-world attack scenarios.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and report security vulnerabilities, including potential mitigations and fixes.
- Contribute to tool development and automation efforts for offensive security tasks.
- Research emerging threats, including adversarial tactics against AI systems, and assist in enhancing red team methodologies.
- Document findings and support the creation of reports to communicate technical vulnerabilities and recommendations to internal teams.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or other related field.
- Foundational knowledge of the attack lifecycle, MITRE ATT&CK framework, and cybersecurity concepts.
- Familiarity with penetration testing tools (e.g., Nmap, Metasploit, Burp Suite).
- Basic programming skills in at least one language (e.g., Python, C++, JavaScript, or PowerShell).
