Physician Assistant- Emergency Department

As a Physician Assistant in the Emergency Department at Regions Hospital, you'll find yourself in a fast-paced environment with over 90,000 ED visits per year. Our Emergency Department has 55 treatment bays and is designed to treat patients in acuity-based care pods. Regions Hospital is one of only three hospitals in Minnesota that is verified as a Level I Trauma Center for both adults and for children with the expertise and technology to treat the most serious injuries 24/7.The Physician Assistant is responsible for providing direct patient care including: obtaining histories, examining patients, ordering appropriate labs and x-rays, performing minor procedures, discussing treatments with treatment plans, following up with patients, and interacting regularly with other healthcare providers. Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Mix of Days/Evenings/Nights, 8s and 10-hour shifts, 1 in 3 weekend rotation.
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
- Physician Assistant certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Current Minnesota license
- BLS
- ACLS

Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years’ experience ED/Emergency Medicine or urgent Care PA experience
- ATLS/PALS
