Supply Chain Indirect Materials Strategy Intern

The Impact You'll Make

This intern position is part of the Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) organization and you will report directly to the Head of Supply Chain.    

Your primary responsibility with this internship will be to complete an in-depth assessment of the Indirect Materials organization. This will be an opportunity to collaborate with leaders within Supply Chain and within the greater Lam Global Operations team. The challenges that you will be helping us understand will be beneficial to our team and provide you an opportunity to gain experience that will be beneficial to you and Lam Research.

Through the Lam intern program, you will get hands-on business experience that complements your academic studies and helps prepare you for real-world situations.  You will collaborate with experienced professionals on career-related projects with a special focus on learning and development.  You will have opportunities to learn more about Lam and the semiconductor industry.  You will have opportunities to meet fellow interns and have some fun along the way.

What You'll Do

• Complete an org assessment of the Supply Chain Indirect Materials organization.  
• At a minimum, this assessment will look at org structure, decision making authority, and funding for indirect purchases.
• Based on your assessment and research, propose a supply chain indirect materials team that is strategic and delivers to Lam operating plan.
• Recommend a change management plan
• Present recommendations to Supply Chain leadership team

Who We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications 

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business or related field
• Creative thinking and strong problem-solving capabilities
• Strong analytics
• MS Office skills
• Written/oral communication skills with ability to communicate cross-functionally and with various levels of the organization including Executives
• Curiosity about understanding of semiconductor equipment manufacturing supply chain
• Ability to learn new skills quickly with minimal guidance

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $44,200.00 -  $59,800.00

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
