Job Description

As a Security Officer Commercial Patrol Specialist in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure environment within a commercial real estate location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the property, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assisting with access control. You will have the opportunity to interact with tenants, visitors, and staff, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. This position allows you to utilize your experience in security-related tasks and your comfort with technology, such as computers or tablets, to contribute to a welcoming and orderly atmosphere. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the commercial real estate location and its perimeter, observing for any unusual activity and reporting as necessary.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior through visible presence and attentive patrolling.
• Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or maintenance needs observed during patrols.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and on-site personnel to support a secure environment for tenants, visitors, and staff.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
