Come join the Cardiovascular Institute (CVI) at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. We offer flexible scheduling, allowing for 5 eight-hour shifts (M-F) or 4 ten-hour shifts each week with rotating weekday and weekend call requirements.

Job duties and responsibilities to include: 

• Transthoracic echocardiograms (adults and pediatrics)
• Transesophageal echocardiograms
• Contrast and agitated saline studies
• Stress echocardiograms
• Take part in the training of students and staff as assigned. 
• Create a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families.

What We Require:

Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of approved School of Ultrasound or equivalent training.

Experience:  Experienced sonographer with hospital-based experience preferred, but new registered graduates are encouraged to apply

Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Registered Cardiac Sonographer - ARDMS/CCI in adult echo, BLS required. 

Other: Good interpersonal and technical skills and flexibility in assignments
