The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As an Aerospace & Defense Sales Specialist you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Meeting or exceeding designated sales quota in your assigned sales territory
- Partnering with local distribution to execute growth initiatives, strategies, and programs
- Prospecting for new growth opportunities with both new and current 3M customers.
- Collaborating with 3M’s End-User Key Accounts Team to drive growth, through key end-user customers
- Effectively and consistently managing your opportunity pipeline, while conducting strategic planning for new opportunities and regular business reviews for key markets and end-user customers in the region.
Company Vehicle
This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Eight (8) years of sales experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Current, valid Driver’s License.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Master's degree from an accredited institution
- Ten (10) years of sales or technical engineering in a private, public, government or military environment

- A strong track record of consistent sales achievements
- Experience articulating value propositions and system-selling
- Understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
- Product demonstration skills and competence
- Robust aptitude for collaboration and cross-functional teamwork to win

Work location:
- Work location: Remote - Connecticut or Northeast USA
- Travel: May include up to 40% domestic
- Relocation: May be authorized
