Are you passionate about the trucking industry and have a knack for resolving complex claims? We are looking for a dedicated Trucking Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to make a significant impact.

 

What You'll Do:

As a Trucking Specialist, you will be at the forefront of our claims resolution process, focusing on commercial auto liability and physical damage claims. Your responsibilities will include:

• Investigating and Resolving Claims: Dive deep into policy language to verify coverage, establish timely and adequate reserves, and consult with coverage counsel on complex or nuanced issues.
• Managing Caseloads: Handle a variety of claims with moderate to high complexity and exposure, developing and executing sound claim resolution strategies in line with company guidelines.
• Effective Communication: Engage with insureds, claimants, attorneys, body shops, and law enforcement to gather critical information and drive claims toward resolution.
• Litigation and Recovery: Partner with defense counsel and external vendors to coordinate litigation strategy, pursue subrogation opportunities, and support recovery efforts.
• Efficiency and Accuracy: Ensure all claims are handled efficiently, accurately, and with a customer-focused approach while meeting service and regulatory standards.
• Continuous Learning: Participate in routine file reviews, team meetings, and ongoing training to support your professional growth and continuous improvement.

Salary Range

$85,000.00 - $150,000.00 USD with performance-based bonus potential

The annual base salary range posted represents a broad range of salaries around the U.S. and is subject to many factors including but not limited to credentials, education, experience, geographic location, job responsibilities, performance, skills and/or training.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years handling commercial auto or trucking claims, with a preference for experience in bodily injury and/or cargo exposure.
• Knowledge: Solid understanding of trucking operations, FMCSA/DOT regulations, and multi-jurisdictional claims practices.
• Skills: Proven ability to analyze, negotiate, and resolve claims effectively while managing competing priorities.
• Licenses: Possession of applicable state adjuster licenses.
• Education: Juris Doctor (JD) preferred, otherwise a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in insurance, risk management, or a related field is required.
