Purpose

Management position that monitors, manages, and provides HMA, GMA, and HMNA Executive Management, Internal Staff, Regional Staff and Dealers business management and analytical reports that outline profit results, business opportunities and other key performance indicators involving dealership operations.  Responsible for business analysis, interpretation, reporting of dealership financial health and in-dealership departmental and operational performance reviews.  Collaboratively works with Hyundai Business Management team to ensure alignment of information and activities regarding Information Services, reporting improvements, testing, implementation, and submission of Dealer financial statements.

Major Responsibilities

  • Develop Financial Stmt. Based strategies for underperforming markets and dealers within the U.S. marketplace. 
  • Responsible for launch of stand-alone Genesis dealer Financial Stmt structure, deployment, and dealer reporting.
  • Identifies opportunities for targeted dealership performance improvements, including enhanced customer retention strategies to drive sales/revenues and improved dealer profitability.
  • Working with dealership management, conducts full-scale operational reviews to identify opportunities for targeted performance improvements.
  • Recommends the necessary resources (such as mystery shops, subject matter expert involvement, product allocation, strategic marketing and advertising, customer focus groups, etc.) for dealership operational improvements.
  • Consults with the dealer on process mapping and recommends the profit performance and operational enhancements.
  • Develop financial intervention initiatives that demonstrate ROI for direct market actions that are targeted at sales loss areas. Maintains and tracks success of FI actions in a market.
  • Coordinate with HMA and GMA Business units including Sales, Customer Satisfaction, Finance, Accounting, Legal and DND steering committee regarding financial intervention agreements and market actions.
  • Monitors and tracks the results of action plans, and where appropriate, develops metrics for tracking process improvement.
  • Utilizing metrics to develop various reports for the dealer to show process improvement effectiveness.
  • Maintains ongoing communication with key dealership personnel (in addition to the RSM, DSM, DOM, and DPSM) to ensure that process improvement recommendations are being implemented effectively and to identify resources or support needed.
  • Extensive consultation, support, collaboration, and communication with stakeholders and clients, which includes: HMA and HMNA management, DND, Sales Operations, Service, Parts, Customer Satisfaction, Regions, & Dealers.

  • Oversee production of executive and regional reports, presentations, special projects, ROI & related information, measurements, and analyses to support performance objectives.
  • Management and coordination of all facets of Hyundai and Genesis Business Management activities that reports to Director Dealer Network Development.
  • Development of analytical reports and detailed Dealer profitability, capitalization, and business opportunities for Executive Management.
  • Coordinate with Dealer Agreements department to develop Pro Forma business plans to identify dealer profit performance improvement opportunities.
  • Monitors dealer financial statements for timely submission and conformance to HMA reporting standards.
  • Mange development of financial analysis training for regional personnel to be executed by Sr. Mgr. Business Management.
  • Assess and manage profit and operational assessment of ethnic minority dealers to provide corrective actions and set actions plans to achieve targeted KPIs.
  • Produces reports on individual and compounded dealership financial statement data.
  • Provides information to Executives, HMA, GMA and HMNA departments concerning specific dealership financial conditions and operations.
