Join Roche, where every voice matters.</p><h3></h3><p></p><h3>The Position</h3><p><span><b>We are looking for a Data Scientist and a Senior Data Scientist within the Integrated Clinical Chapter at RIS.</b></span><br/><br/><span>As a [Senior] Data Scientist, you are responsible for leading, conceptualizing, planning and executing advanced analytics projects to discover key insights that contribute to our digital product portfolio, leading to high quality, more efficient patient care and improved outcomes. </span></p><p></p><p><span>As part of the DA&R organization, you are a reliable contributor for the health care insights business area. You will provide leadership as the Data Lead within cross-functional teams in charge of the development of digital products. This will be achieved through both personal contributions in your focus area of data expertise and through engagement and orchestration of other DA&R experts. You will have the possibility to have a direct contribution to our Navify portfolio of innovative clinical algorithms and digital solutions such as navify Algorithm Suite, navify Clinical Hub etc. </span></p><p></p><p><span>By demonstrating your data science skills, your proven track record of contributing to digital products and your experience with stakeholder management, you will identify, promote, and support the development of digital products functions and features from concept, development, delivery, and ultimate use at the point of care. This work will generate evidence to support the value of our digital products and also be used to improve them continually. </span></p><p></p><p><span>You will rely on your scientific expertise, strategic organizational awareness, strong analytical skills, and your ability to interact and influence cross-functional experts such as product owners, software engineers or clinicians, to discover novel insights demonstrating impact of various treatment decisions, and uncover key elements leading to best outcomes for patients.</span></p><p></p><p><b><span>The opportunity</span></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Perform high quality, timely and accurate analyses using most relevant pioneering methodologies, tools and resources contributing</span><span> to and driving data science and analytical software development teams. Carry out analytics to support multiple product development projects and find solutions to quantitative problems.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Act as the Data Lead for digital products, work as a member of the multidisciplinary agile core product team together with UX Lead, Tech Lead, RTE and Product Manager. Special partnering with Tech Lead is key to improve not only the data structure of the existing product but also to improve the data observability and exposure outside of the customer environment.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Serve as an advocate to product, software engineering, and business team members on what data and analytic features and functions are possible with current data assets and/or what has to occur to advance the use of data in the digital products.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Build and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional experts such as other data experts, product owners, software engineers, clinicians, etc., in order to jointly explore business opportunities, data assets, analytical methodologies and toolsets.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Demonstrate your strategic organizational awareness and systems mindset to implement sustainable, science-based practices and act as an influential subject matter expert to your team members and the business you support.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Maintain and expand knowledge and access to available and meaningful data sources within/outside Roche, and their application to digital product customer needs.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Who you are</span></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Master’s degree in a data science related field (e.g. Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Bioinformatics); PhD is highly preferred with b</span><span>ackground in biology or medicine, either through education or professional experience with a focus in one or several of the following areas is desired: Oncology, Infectious Diseases, Cardiovascular, and Neurological Diseases</span></p></li><li><p><span>At least 4 years of proven experience applying statistical modeling, machine learning, exploratory, and confirmatory data analysis in mid to large volume biomedical data sets and patient-level data analyses (e.g., real world data, lab data, clinical trials, regis
