In this role, you will lead a team of fun driven and enthusiastic magic and memorable experience makers. Through diligent work and optimal fun, you will strive to achieve the financial targets as well as lead by example and develop your team. Compensation for this role starts at $18.50.

Responsibilities
· Support the Retail Manager and Retail Supervisor in the efficient, effective, and safe day-to-day running of assigned commercial areas of the attraction, including the retail store, and photo, with a strong focus on maximizing per cap spends and Average Transaction Values.
·Be the best-in-class on-the-floor example of excellence in assigned commercial areas of the attraction.
·Lead (by example) the Retail Team to consistently deliver world-class experiences to our guests, as evidenced by continuously meeting or exceeding KPI and Mystery Visit targets.
·Support the ongoing training of Retail and Food and Beverage Team as required for safe, efficient, and effective operation of assigned commercial areas.
·Work with Retail Manager and Retail Supervisor to implement labor budgets/schedules for various day-types and seasonal needs.
·Support the Retail Manager and Retail Supervisor with Merchandising and Inventory Control programs for the attraction.
·Ensure that the highest possible standards of service, cleanliness, technical operation, and safety are adhered to by the Retail Team.
·Support delivery of specified revenue metrics for any commercial areas operated by the Retail Team.
Brand Specific Responsibilities
·The SLC Retail Shift Leader will assist the Retail Supervisor who is the "trainee expert" in SLC toys of all varieties and merchandise and demonstrates a genuine passion for the fun & educational aspects of working at SEA LIFE.
·Always up to date with all new product ranges and launches, the Retail Shift Leader supports the Retail Manager and Retail Supervisor with their expansive knowledge of SL merchandise, extended line and licensed products and can support the training for our Staff in helping our Guests understand what the best products for them to purchase are.
·Supports the staff training on SEA LIFE merchandise so all staff are knowledgeable and able to upsell at every opportunity.
·Ensures that stock levels are maintained and properly merchandised. Strong eye for detail is a plus.
·Assist in inventory
·Ensures all upsell opportunities are maximized by the whole team.
Health & Safety
Ensure full compliance of policies and procedures set forth within the Health, Safety & Security in the workplace and in line with the Merlin Entertainments Group Policy. Understand risk assessments within own workplace and ensure reporting of any new risks to appropriate line manager. Follow safe work practices as outlined in our Code of Safe Work Practices (COSWP). In cases of incidents or accidents ensure appropriate reporting is done in a timely manner.
About YouRetail experience is required. Customer service experience is required and experience working with children and families is desirable. This position requires a fun, outgoing approach in interacting with others with a desire to provide service on the highest possible level and the ability to work individually and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills are required. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
