The Recovery Program Manager provides mentorship and supervision support to Recovery Counselors at each campus and helps facilitate the overall operation of programs in accordance with Muir Wood's policies and procedures as well as state and local standards and regulations. The Recovery Program Manager provides weekly group supervision and ongoing support to counselors whenever needed, and ensures that recovery groups are scheduled and covered by a Recovery Counselor or Group Facilitator. They are also responsible for providing Muir Wood’s clients with H&I services and outside meetings.
Requirements
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all aspects of the counselor’s role in client programming, including the assignment and evaluation of Level Advancement assignments.
- As part of a treatment team, collaborate on approvals of all outings and activities for residential clients.
- Participate in family programming sessions as requested and required by the Clinical Director.
- Responsible for the timely completion of clinical documentation (progress and group notes).
- Attend weekly treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and clinical supervisor if needed, and instructed by the Clinical Director.
- Develop off campus meeting schedule (if deemed appropriate) for clients to attend AA, Al-Anon, and NA meetings with staff accompaniment.
- Facilitate clients’ daily activities in residential settings, including assistance with daily activities, chores supervision, etc.
- Meet with Recovery Counselors and Group Facilitators for weekly supervision, and collaborate with Clinical Directors to provide yearly evaluations and reviews for counselors.
- Meet with clients individually at least once per week, and facilitate group sessions as determined by the Clinical Director.
- Audit Recovery Counselors’ Treatment Plan, individual notes, and group notes.
- Observe and monitor clients’ behavior and intervene based on schedule, individual treatment plans, and house needs.
- Allow clients to attend outside AA and NA meetings when appropriate, and provide H&I services.
- Attend meetings, trainings, and conferences as needed or requested.
- Professionally, ethically, and compassionately relate to clients and peers at all times.
- Other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director, VP of Clinical Excellence, or the CCO.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Psychology, Social Work, MFT or MFTI preferred
- At least 2 years’ experience working with dually diagnosed individuals or with high acuity population, preferably in a residential setting
- Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Level I (CADC-II) or Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) preferred
- Knowledge of the philosophy and approach of the 12-step model of recovery (AA, CA, NA, Al-Anon, etc.)
- TB required and health screen, along with CPR and first aid

Compensation: $66,560.00 - $75,000 based on education and experience
