Job Details:- Monday to Friday (9 AM to 6 PM EDT)
- 40 hours per week
- 1-hour unpaid break
Job Summary:
The IT Help Desk Technician will provide technical support, management, and configuration of the organization's network infrastructure. This role includes implementing software and firmware updates, capacity planning, network security, troubleshooting, and contributing to network modernization projects. The ideal candidate will excel at diagnosing and resolving issues while delivering exceptional technical support to both team members and organizational infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Infrastructure Management
- Perform systems management and configuration of network infrastructure, including applying software and firmware patches.
- Execute configuration tasks to ensure optimal performance and reliability of network systems. Assist in network capacity planning to meet organizational growth and operational requirements.
- Deliver expert-level support to infrastructure services regarding network-related issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and problem resolution to minimize downtime and maintain network performance.
- Collaborate on network infrastructure modernization projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Contribute to technical design and provide input for automation and scripting initiatives to enhance efficiency.
- Implement and monitor network security measures to safeguard organizational data and systems.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards for network security and data integrity.
- Provide recommendations for necessary software and hardware upgrades to maintain network stability and performance.
- Provide support to hardware and software systems remotely
- Maintain detailed technical documentation, including configuration changes, support logs, and troubleshooting steps.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2-3 years in network administration, IT support, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, hardware, and software systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting tools and diagnostic techniques.
- Familiarity with automation and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support team collaboration and end-user assistance.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
