Position Highlights:

  • Sign-on Bonus:            $6,000 sign-on bonus eligible position for qualified candidates!  
  • Shift Schedule:            Full Time (40hours a week) Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
  • Department:                 Pulmonology

What You’ll Need:

  • High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Provider certification from American Heart Association and American Red Cross 
  • 1 yrs years of experience as CMA/RMA 
  • Teammate can become a CMA II, without 5 years of experience, 
  • Must be in good standing within department, with performance rating of meets/exceeds
    expectations in their last performance review with no CFIP within six months.

Must have a CMA or RMA by one of the following National Organizations REQUIRED:

 

  • CMA from American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
  • CCMA from National Health career Association (NHA)
  • NCMA from National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
  • RMA from American Medical Technologists (AMT).  
  • RMA from American Allied Health
  • NCMSMA from National Healthcare Worker’s Association (NHCWA)
  • NRCMA from National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
  • NRMA from National Registry of Medical Assistants (NRMA)
  • Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) may be required within one year in select areas

How You’ll Impact Patient care:

 

As a CMA II, your job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Complies with the Medical Center mission, vision, and values as well as the philosophy of the Department of Nursing and Service line standards in caring for patients.
  2. Complies with all essential duties of the Credentialed Medical Assistant. 
  3. Must be in good standing as a CMA/RMA, with performance rating of meets or exceeds expectation in the last performance review with no CFIP within the last six months. 
  4. Demonstrated professional practice advancement through one of the following: Professional Practice/Shared Governance model participation through committees, Designated Preceptor for new MAs on unit, Safety Coach, POCT super user, EPIC super user, Six Sigma or other quality ce
