Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Human Resources Manager - Plant Business Partners to join our team in Holland, MI.
As a Human Resources Manager, you will:
Provide leadership and direction to Human Resource Business Partners that support NA Manufacturing Operations / Plants. Provides guidance to Haworth management to support business performance and demonstrates care and concern for members and the employment experience. Develops, implements, and administers plans, policies, and programs in support of Human Resources (HR) strategic objectives and North American (NA) business strategies. Communicates with all levels of the organization, from senior leaders to new members, and serves as champion of culture, engagement and retention that aligns with company policies, culture, and values. Plans, organizes, and implements programs to support performance management, member capability, and development, recognition, and appreciation, with a continuous improvement and effective change management approach. Serves as a member of HR Leadership team and Operations leadership groups.
Do you have these required qualifications?
- Bachelors degree in business administration, human resources, industrial relations, or equivalent.
- Five to seven years experience in increasingly responsible human resource generalist positions.
- Two or more years of supervisory experience.
Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:
- Working familiarity with human resource principles in the following areas: engagement and retention programs, employment law, appreciation and recognition programs, multi-channel communication to the variety of audiences that exist in manufacturing and distribution center teams, open shop and union avoidance, compensation, selection and placement, leadership guidance, coaching and development.
- Must have strong business acumen, emotional intelligence, ability to build relationships and create collaboration, excellent communication, presentation skills, and facilitation skills.
Do you have these preferred qualifications?
- Multi-site manufacturing, logistics or distribution center experience.
- LEAN Six Sigma experience.
- Masters degree in business or human resources.
- SHRM Certification.
Job Responsibilities:
- Advises the Plant HRBPS and Operations Management on employee-related matters as it relates to effective and efficient operations. Recommends policies and procedures most likely to promote excellent employee relations, employee engagement and retention. Works with all leaders to make the organization a better place to work.
- In collaboration with Plant HRPBS and Operations Senior Leadership, evaluates organizational effectiveness, determining gaps and recommending action plans and supporting effective resolution that results in employee engagement, retention and effective performance. Provide guidance on ways the organization and managers can be more transparent with employees.
- Develops methods to gather quantitative and qualitative retention data by conducting and analyzing employee roundtable meetings, employee surveys, stay interviews or other methods. Evaluates data and information to determine why members are leaving and guides leaders and plant HRPBs to build relationships and initiatives that extend employee tenure.
