Primary Objective/Purpose of the Job
Global Payments seeks an Editorial Director to support the business. You are a people manager, an editor, a writer and a collaborative team member who will oversee the implementation of the editorial calendar and development of content for our owned channels–web, blog, email, and social–and for sales enablement. You are a self-starter, focused on driving projects forward while being open and comfortable with iteration and feedback. You have an eye for detail and accuracy.
Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate internal and outsourced content resources, serving as their primary point of contact
Ensure the delivery of high-quality content that aligns with business and marketing objectives, adhering to voice, style and brand guides, and utilizing SEO best practices
Manage the content production calendar, coordinating writing assignments, ensuring content is completed on time, on scope and on budget
Supervise all stages of content production and review, from concept to publication (ideation, briefing, outline, review, design, production and publication)
Edit and proof all content created by the team or contributed by others
Monitor and report on key performance metrics
Update guidelines, share best practices and train writers (internal and external) on style, tone, and brand guidelines
Collaborate as needed with broader team members

Knowledge and Skill Required
Excellent interpersonal, leadership and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Eye for detail, ensuring material is accurate, error-free, matches tone and style, and uses correct grammar and punctuation rules
Deadline-oriented with strong time and project management skills
Management experience, comfortable providing direction and feedback to others
Collaborative team member, confident in sharing insights and ideas with internal and external stakeholders
Understand products, requirements and specific needs for our audience and industry
Experience
5-7 years of experience writing, editing and proofreading B2B content and copy
Fintech, payments, finserv background strongly preferred
3-5 years of management experience, including agencies and freelancers
Experience using reporting and analytics tools to monitor and optimize content performance, and a solid understanding of SEO is a plus
Education
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or a related field
