Role Summary  
We are now looking for a seasoned developer within Data Engineering to strengthen the Product Analytics team within the Connected Analytics unit. You will be working as part of an agile team to enable various units within TRATON R&D worldwide in accessing comprehensive amounts of connected vehicle data and create data products, self-service analytics and visualizations based on the data of a fleet of several hundred thousand vehicles. As part of the team, you will participate in the short- and long-term planning of deliveries and technologies, the prioritization and according implementation. 


In your role, you will bring in your competence and efforts to continuously improve and scale the toolset through which we create data availability and insights for the various consumers within TRATON R&D. You will cooperate with data providers and consumers alike (data engineers, data scientists and AI experts, engineers, analysts, statisticians, product and service owners) and develop high quality data products and self-service in a sustainable and scalable way. 

 

Job Responsibilities 
•    Scale up and continuously improve the toolset to enable advanced analytics and data sharing for TRATON R&D
•    Develop data products and create insights based on connected vehicle data
•    Take ownership for the complete life-cycle of the solutions you create, from requirements, planning, implementation to maintenance and continuous improvements
•    Accelerate and scale the team’s efforts by applying latest technologies and methods 
•    Contribute to the continuous improvement process of the team and share your knowledge to support the journey to being a data-driven and AI-ready company
•    Ensure reliable, scalable and cyber secure solutions by applying and continuously improving the team’s DevSecOps methods
•    Keep a clear focus on efficiency, managing the balance between cost, customer value and elimination of waste

In your career, you have worked with large scale data sets and industrial solutions in cloud environments. You show professional habits and skills when it comes to tooling, coding, testing, deploying and documentation. You have a proven track record in at least some of the relevant areas of the field such as cloud data warehouses, data processing, statistics, data science and analytics, data- and ML-pipelining, DevSecOps, cloud infrastructure and agile development. 


Having worked with operational vehicle data, diagnostic data, geospatial data, or comparable large data sets in similar industries is a merit; as is leadership experience as Scrum Master, Project Lead or similar. 
Your work is based on the following (or comparable) skills and tooling (examples): Python / SQL / C#, AWS, CICD, Gitlab, Grafana, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure AD, front-end development (e.g. Vue) and visualization, statistics and analytics (e.g. SAS Viya, Power-BI). 
You have an academic education at university level in computer science, engineering physics, electrical engineering or equivalent work experience. You communicate fluently in English, in both speech and writing.
