Description

The UM-Flint School of Nursing is seeking to hire one adjunct clinical lecturer for fall  2025 to teach NUR 330/331 (Maternity Nursing/Maternity Nursing for 2nd Degree Students). Adjunct lecturers will work in collaboration with lead faculty.

Course Description: NUR 330/331 provides knowledge and beginning-level skills necessary for nursing care of the childbearing family. The focus is on physical, psychological, and social needs of women, newborns and families throughout the maternity cycle. Exploration of evidence-based practice, cultural competence, complementary therapies, and selected reproductive issues relevant to preconception counseling. Clinical education provides learning experience in a variety of settings.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

BSN required; MSN preferred;
Previous experience working in maternal-child unit setting;
Registration to practice nursing in Michigan with an unencumbered license or eligible to apply
