Job Description
- Candidate must be very detailed oriented with knowledge of the materials business unit and have mechanical aptitude.
- Candidate must be able to perform most duties within the department and distribute tags to the operators as needed for panels and rails, must check cart/load for accuracy (measuring panels and rails).
- Candidate must possess computer skills, read a tape measure (Metric and standard), use proscale and be able to distinguish the various DLV Styles.
- The ability to quickly understand, manage, and direct the flow of material throughout the process.
- Understanding lean tools such as 5S and have the ability to assist the Supervisor in directing labor and schedules is an asset.
- Candidate will also be required to sort paperwork and create material labels.
- Employee is required to wear any applicable personal protective equipment, work at a productive rate, maintain quality, and perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- The ability to read measurements, work, or calculate numbers.
- The ability to use handheld tools, including but not limited to handheld pallet jacks, pneumatic staple guns, industrial hot glue guns, and power drills.
- Must be 18 years of age, have reliable transportation, and work overtime as needed.
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Previous experience in assembly or a production-oriented environment preferred.
Additionally, selected candidates will be evaluated for several production-related roles based on business needs. All positions are physically demanding in some way; however, some roles require:
- The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 50 lbs.; and
- The ability to stand or walk up to an entire shift (up to 10-12 hours).
