Potomac Falls Health & Rehab Center in Sterling, VA, has a career opportunity for a dynamic Medical Records / Central Supply Coordinator

 

 What’s my primary role?

 

 As a Medical Records Coordinator you will:

• Scan and maintain patient/resident electronic medical records
• Process requests for copies of medical records
• Maintain physician certification and recertification tracking system
• Maintain computerized billing system
• Promote a culture of Service Excellence

 

As a Unit Coordinator you will:

• Coordinate, manage, and evaluate resident care and unit operations
• Monitor timely, concise documentation of resident care in EMR
• Provide pertinent information regarding resident care to physicians when making rounds
• Evaluate staff performance and oversight of direct care performance
• Assure compliance with principles of infection control and universal precautions
• Coordinate with Units for appointment scheduling and transportation 

 

Do you have what it takes?

• Two years’ supply, ordering and inventory control experience preferred
• Experience in file maintenance and recordkeeping in healthcare setting preferred
• Computer proficiency
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Proficiency in computer software, especially Microsoft Office products
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Current CNA license in good standing with the Virginia Department of Health Professions or Medical Assistant Certification (preferred/not required)
