JOB OVERVIEW

The Legion application is a high performance data driven Java enterprise application that implements sophisticated scheduling and optimization algorithms. It also provides the necessary endpoints for our Web and mobile frontend applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • As a Frontend Software Engineer, you will be a member of the team responsible for the implementation and evolution of this application.
  • You will need to be able to write secure, efficient, enterprise quality  code, and have a deep understanding of the techniques and technologies that are necessary for scalability and performance.
  • Plan and conduct architecture sessions, design, and build enhancements\extensions, create plans for Integration and Unit testingDevelops long lasting relationships
  • Able to simultaneously help multiple customers and travel to customer locations as required
  • Actively set and manage expectations
  • Understand, adapt and act within the customer’s organization and culture
  • Continually acquires knowledge about our customers and solutions to grow adoption
  • Manage difficult situations in a calm and structured way with timely internal and external customers
  • Communication to all levels of individuals
  • Understand flexibility and prepare for when needs change
  • Please note that this role involves participation in an on-call rotation.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-7 years years of experience working with AngularJS & React technologies
  • AngularJS, React experience is essential. Experience upgrading from AngularJS to React preferred.
  • Experience with CSS3, HTML/HTML5, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and jQuery including cross-browser compatibility issues.
  • We use Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, MySQL and JSON, so familiarity with these technologies will be helpful
  • Our application runs on AWS, so experience with containerization and cloud deployments is desirable. 
  • Experience building software products and handling complexities of multiple configurations in a cloud based product, rather than consulting and webpage/portal development.  
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or similar field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Ability to operate in an environment with limited resources
  • Track record of building positive relationships with peers
