Physical Therapy Assistant

Description

As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), you play a key role in helping patients recover, regain strength, and achieve their wellness goals. You’ll work closely with a Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT) to deliver personalized care while building strong relationships with patients throughout their journey. We are an Integrated Medical Clinic providing medical, physical therapy, and chiropractic care all in one location. Our collaborative environment allows us to deliver exceptional patient outcomes by combining expertise from multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans designed by Licensed Physical Therapists.
• Guide patients through exercises and therapies to help them achieve their goals.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the Physical Therapist.
• Ensure a safe and organized rehab floor for both patients and staff.
• Document daily patient activities and progress in the electronic health record (EHR) system.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Prior experience in a multidisciplinary clinic is a plus but not required
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Current Arizona PTA License (required)
• BLS Certification
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Able to Multi-Task by working with multiple patients at once
• Basic knowledge of therapeutic equipment and modalities
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Anatomy
• Personable Bedside Manner
•  Locations: Lake Pleasant and Glendale two days each week
•  Hours: Monday - Thursday 6:30am - 5:00pm

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to move and lift patients as necessary.
• Ability to lift and carry medical supplies and equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
