The Platform IP team is looking for an intern to join this global mixed-signal design group. This position is based in Wilmington, MA and will focus on analog design automation initiatives that intersect with machine learning and mixed-signal design. The role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to both research and implementation, working alongside experienced engineers and researchers to explore innovative solutions that enhance analog design productivity. 

 

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Developing and validating ML-based models for analog design automation tasks. 

  • Analyzing design data, simulation results, and layout metrics to extract meaningful insights. 

  • Collaborating with design engineers to understand challenges and propose automation strategies. 

  • Supporting tool development and scripting for design flow enhancements. 

  • Documenting research findings and presenting progress to the team. 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Strong understanding of analog circuit design fundamentals. 

  • Experience with Python and machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch). 

  • Familiarity with EDA tools such as Cadence Virtuoso. 

  • Coursework in Analog IC Design, Mixed-Signal Systems, Machine Learning, and VLSI Design.
