Transit Security Dispatcher - PHX (71510)

Job Responsibilities:

• Identify and report security and safety violations.
• Notify law enforcement of any illegal activity, provide a documented account of all activity witnessed, and assist law enforcement as required.
• Take prompt action to address security incidents and, to the extent observed, accidents, fires, property damage, and safety hazards.
• Monitor CCTV systems at Park and Ride lots and stations, taking action to address any observed safety or security issues.
• Conduct CCTV incident reviews.
• Operate radio communications.
• Monitor the command center.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports.

Qualifications:

• U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Arizona state driver’s license.
• Current first aid and CPR certification, with familiarity in using an AED defibrillator.
• No job-related felony or major misdemeanor convictions, as determined in accordance with EEOC Enforcement Guidance 915.002.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a security guard, military personnel, or police officer. Preferred security experience includes forward-facing customer engagement, de-escalation, crisis management, and professional communication.
• Three years of forward-facing customer service experience may be substituted for one year of the required security experience.
