Job Description

Data Science and Analytics is an ambitious team of Data Scientists and Data Engineers with a unique blend of Business, Scientific, and Machine Learning expertise that seeks to unleash the full potential of AbbVie’s data assets by bringing technology and/or data and insights to the forefront of decision making via fit-for-purpose solutions.

The Associate Director, RBQM Analytics in Data Science and Analytics is a leadership role and is responsible for strategy, talent management and operations delivery. Identifies new capabilities and opportunities to drive analytics innovation and value creation. Fosters a culture of experimentation to enable data-driven insights for complex business problems. Influences cross-functional leaders to unleash the full potential of data and advanced analytics techniques like Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for people management including managing line-level people managers

· Drive the implementation of next generation technology and process to enable enterprise data analytics on pace with emerging integrated data sources (biomarker/translational, big data, digital sources, real world data, pharmacovigilance data, clinical trial data)

· Responsible for coaching, mentoring and performance management of direct reports. Responsible for talent development in alignment with R&D business needs

· Identifies new capabilities and opportunities to drive analytics innovation and value creation. Forms cross-functional teams to implement new capabilities

· Influences the cross-functional stakeholders at Director level to identify opportunities to unleash the full-potential of data and analytics, including advanced M
