Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to be based in Billings Montana. This full-time position within our Environmental group will work with an existing team to help manage a variety of oil and gas remediation projects with oversight from senior managers and technical experts. The ideal candidate will require experience working with MT environmental regulatory agencies, a strong focus on health and safety, be detailed orientated, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, and will be capable of working collaboratively in a high-performance team.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Health and safety stewardship, including local field visits
- Managing scope, schedule, and budget for tasks small to mid-sized remediation construction and environmental investigation projects
- Building strong client relationships
- Client and regulatory correspondence
- Technical report writing and review
- Analyzes and applies solutions to atypical and/or semi-complex and challenging issues within area of expertise
- Manage project financials to meet project goals
- Preparing cost estimates and proposals
- Working effectively with project teams, clients, and all other stakeholders
- Coordinating work schedules with AECOM staff and subcontractors
- Responsible for quality control of tasks
- Mentor project Jr. staff
- Will require some regional travel for field visits
- May include the supervision of junior level staff
- Manages one or more very complex project, involving a combination of the following:
- Clients with a national geographic footprint; OR,
- Projects involving a full spectrum of services offered by IE; OR,
- Other complexities, such as projects that involve litigation, environmental protection, due diligence, etc.
- Manages all phases of projects (from beginning to close out).
- Has consenting and regulatory authority for approvals.
- Manages other Project Managers.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree in, Environmental Science, Business Management, Engineering, Geology, or closely related field
- 8+ years of project management experience or demonstrated equivalency of experiences and/or education.
- Must be able to pass any pre-employment assessments such as, background check and drug screens.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 12 years of experience in environmental consulting
- Experience working for clients in the oil and gas market sector
- Experience working with MT environmental regulatory agencies.
- 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training Supervisory experience
