Automotive Mechanic

Title: Automotive Mechanic

Location: 444 Bayview Avenue, Inwood NY

Pay Rate: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Employment Type: Full-time

Schedule: Overnight shift; must be available on weekends

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 19 years of age

• Must have a valid Driver’s License

• Must have a high school diploma or GED minimum

• COVID-19 vaccination required

• Diesel engine experience required

• A/C & Brakes Certifications is preferred, but not required

• ASE certification is preferred, but not required

• Ambulance experience preferred, but not required

• Welding experience is preferred

• Must be able to supply your own tools

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair vehicle mechanical components, including tires, brakes, bulbs, etc

• Diagnose electrical issues

• Check charging systems and replace batteries as needed

• Repair company vehicles as needed

• Replenish fluids as necessary

• Provide management with any documents or noted maintenance needs

• Manage inventory and plan for future needs

• Support vehicle logistics: towing, breakdowns, flat tires, etc.

• Assist field staff with vehicle lockouts
