The Manufacturing Electrical Engineer Co-op will work at the Melbourne, FL facility for the Summer and Fall semesters of 2026.  This position is for an Electrical Engineering student interested in gaining hands-on experience in manufacturing with the process of acceptance testing of product.  The selected candidate will work in a cross-functional team that applies Manufacturing concepts, techniques, analysis, and decision tools to promote and implement changes.  The candidate should have good written and verbal communication skills that is willing to learn and has the ability to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment. 

Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January-August (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).

What You Will Do:

  • Collect test failure information and prepare failure analysis reports as required for production and assist in analyzing test failures for root causes and corrective actions. 
  • Analysis of various manufacturing data; i.e. Work In Process (WIP), test output & failures, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) 
  • Assist in developing and preparing test and diagnostic programs to aid in the troubleshooting of test failures 
  • Development and management of test documentation, test fixtures, and cables.
  • Works with Electrical Engineers and Test Technicians to understand product and test system issues

  • Learn how to utilize Six Sigma tools
