The primary role of the Lead of Portfolio Management (Business Enablement) is to manage the portfolio of projects for Commercial IT function. They are responsible for driving portfolio governance, work prioritization, budget management and ensuring alignment of projects with the local and global Commercial strategy.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Leading the project portfolio and risk management duties for Commercial IT in alignment with the IT Governance principles.

  • Managing prioritization of project portfolio in partnership with OCIO and demand management activities in partnership with peers.

  • Ensure performance (schedule, budget, scalability, and agility), and continuously improve technology cost, performance, functionality, and innovation; Anchoring project timelines and managing portfolio within budget.

  • Determine and when necessary, reconcile, Commercial IT budget to reach the goals set out in the business strategy.

  • Coordinating resource management by allocating Project Management resources in line with the agreed priorities for the regions and the resulting Commercial IT portfolio.

  • Engaging with business teams on building business cases for new projects and evaluating them for expected project returns (e.g., ROI, IRR).

  • Setting standards and operating protocol for, and managing, the Project Management teams within the Commercial IT organization.

  • Setting objectives for and providing guidance to the Project Management team members that support the projects’ requirements phase coming from IT Business Partners across the different regions and Business Units for projects varying in scope from in-market tasks to enterprise-level deployments of corporate information systems.

  • Driving governance discussion and communicate best practices for all project and systems support teams across all commercial teams.

  • Own portfolio review meetings, keeping the meetings focused and planning and coordinating them effectively.

  • Assist in setting key performance indicators to measure and improve team performance.

  • Evaluate portfolio risk factors and assist in making critical business decisions.

  • Aligning IT resources to achieve proper balance of new project work for developing IT capabilities with high quality operations and support of existing systems.

  • Responsible for working with the regional business relationship managers for Commercial. Each group will own demand for their respective function and keep the other groups informed.

  • Complete special projects and initiatives with skillful oversight and support.

  • Identify areas of improvement across the organization and make actionable recommendations.

  • Collaborates with regional leaders & Solution Centers to develop & execute corporate functions technology strategy in alignment with product roadmaps to achieve business strategy.

  • Partnering with global business for region specific technology and solution development.

  • Collaborates with Commercial Business Partners and teams for connecting the requests across Commercial regional business relationship managers to the global solutions or potential new capabilities.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree required.

  • Specialization in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Management, Finance Management, Project Management, however, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration. 

  • Minimum 10 years in experience in Management, needs program/project management as well as financial background.

  • Ability in partnering with senior-level executives, developing and executing IT strategy, and delivering and supporting complex, global IT solutions.
