Asset Protection Coordinator - Supply Chain

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for protecting the assets of the company within a distribution center environment through management of Asset Protection resources. Directly participate in all aspects of the facility’s safety, security and operational functions. Provide a leadership role in Asset Protection, Safety and Physical Security for the facility. Responsible for effective and confidential investigations into all loss and safety related concerns within the facility. Manage vendor accounts pertaining to Burglar, Fire, CCTV, Card Access and Security Guards (if applicable). Become the primary liaison between the facility and all local police and fire officials. Conducts safety inspections and chairs the Safety Committee for the facility.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Managing vendors, visitors and contractors and providing appropriate credentials

· Administration of Card Access System

· Facilitates AP new hire orientation and issuance of card access keys

· Active participation in the facility’s Leadership Team’s efforts to provide a safe and secure work environment.

· Responsibilities include;

o Investigations into Internal Theft.

o Partnership with HR/Leadership Team as required on WC issues, safety concerns, workplace substance abuse concerns, workplace violence, and other sensitive matters.

· Ensure physical security of facility assets and associates

· Delivery of expected shrink results in the Facility through management of LP Resources

· Perform quarterly Operational Control Audits related to physical security, safety, and operational controls.

o Report audit findings to DC Business Partners

o Re-audit non-compliant operational controls as necessary

· When applicable supervise all Security personnel associated with the facility

· Manage/monitor Burglar/Fire Alarm systems including call lists

· Facilitate Monthly and Quarterly Safety Meetings as well as drills, evacuations, etc.

· Lead safety team in review of accidents for root cause

· Conducts opening/closing surveillances

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· At least 2 years of similar experience in a warehouse environment, including supervisory experience of contract guards or personnel

· Bachelor’s Degree preferred

· Overall knowledge of investigative processes

· Wicklander Zulawski certification preferred

BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE AND CRITICAL SKILLS:

· Maintain good working relationships with all cross functional business partners and staff

· Good written and verbal communication skills, computer skills, ie. Microsoft Office, Excel

· Familiar with MOL regulations/OSHA Safety Compliance and local/State and Provincial Fire Codes

· AED/CPR certification

· Highly organized and detailed

· Ability to adapt in a changing environment
