Navvis is seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and strategic Lead Population Health Analyst to join our team. This role is central to identifying and quantifying opportunities to optimize health and healthcare outcomes, risk adjustment, clinical care quality and population health to drive performance improvement across our client base. This role also contributes to projections and evaluations of the financial impacts of new or existing programs and solutions on clinical care delivery, quality and population health. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise and experience in healthcare quality analytics, clinical performance measurement, and population health strategies—while embodying the core attributes of a high-value analytics professional.


This role operates in a dyad partnership with the Lead Medical Economics Analyst, ensuring a coordinated approach to identifying clinical and quality performance opportunities alongside cost and utilization insights. Together, these roles form a strategic analytics leadership pair, responsible for delivering integrated, high-impact information to drive action across the organization and to clients.


As the Lead Population Health Analyst, you will:

  • Engage regularly with internal and external stakeholders across clinical, operational, and executive teams to align on strategic priorities and analytic needs.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, translating complex data into actionable insights that support cost containment and performance improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with the Lead Medical Health Economics Analyst to ensure consistency, alignment, and synergy across all analytics deliverables and client engagements.

A day in the life: 

  • Lead complex analyses focused on illness burden, identification and stratification of populations, clinical quality performance, and risk adjustment.
  • Identify actionable opportunities to appropriate utilization and optimized cost of care.
  • Consult and collaborate with clinical, financial, and operational teams internal and external to Navvis to determine and prioritize insights needed, manage delivery, and interpret strategic and tactical implications of insights.
  • Extract meaningful insights by creating opportunity assessments, driver analyses, dashboards, and other products.
  • Translate insights into strategic recommendations for internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators of illness burden, clinical quality, and risk adjustment performance.
  • Lead and mentor junior analysts.
  • Develop, contribute to, and implement best practices and standards that create high-value, meaningful, and accurate insights. 
  • Ensure data and analysis quality, and alignment with enterprise standards.

Requirements

 We are excited about you if you have these things: 


  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field—e.g., public health, epidemiology, nursing, allied health, biostatistics, statistics, data science, health services research, healthcare administration, population health, etc.; Master’s degree strongly preferred
  • 7+ years in healthcare, clinical and/or population health analytics in a payer, health system, or provider organization
  • Proficiency in SQL and statistical programming (SAS, R, Python, etc.) for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
