THE JOB:

As the Assistant Chef at StripSteak, you will play a critical role in crafting exceptional culinary experiences for our guests. You’ll work closely with the Executive Chef and leadership team to maintain the high standards of quality, precision, and creativity StripSteak is known for. From training kitchen staff to managing daily operations, you’ll ensure the smooth execution of service in this fast-paced, high-volume steakhouse environment.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Oversee food preparation, ensuring superior quality and adherence to Michael Mina’s high standards.
• Manage the Cooks and Master Cooks.
• Assist in managing inventory, placing orders, and organizing kitchen supplies.
• Maintain proper labeling and dating of products to ensure sanitation and safekeeping.
• Communicate effectively with the front-of-house team, management, and service staff to address any guest or team needs.
• Ensure a seamless transition from kitchen to table, emphasizing precision and presentation.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Leadership experience in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Experience in high-volume professional kitchens.
• Comfortable leading and developing teams.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
• Strong communicator, able to collaborate effectively with both the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
