THE JOB:

This role will provide dual functions for Poker operations. The primary position will be a Poker Floor Supervisor, to directly oversee the day-to-day activities of all non-management personnel in the Poker Room during an assigned shift. The secondary position will be a Poker Dealer, which will perform the act of dealing and running a game in a professional manner.

THE STARTING RATE: $25.00 an hour for the Poker Floor Supervisor.  

There is the potential to deal poker at a rate of $5.26 an hour plus tokes.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Supervise assigned operational functions consistent with the strategic plan, the fiscal budget, and the company’s short term and long-term profitability objectives
• Supervise the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes
• Create a work environment that promotes teamwork, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction
• Actively listen to employees and customers for input to provide ideas and suggestions for new products, services, technology and processes to ensure company’s competitive position and in anticipation of changing customer needs
• Greet players and maintain the list for seating them into the poker games
• Explain games and procedures and assist the guests with any necessary requests

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent educational certification
• Two (2) years of Poker dealing or Poker Supervisor experience
• Complete knowledge of common rules and procedures of all Poker games
• Experience working in a similar resort setting
• General knowledge of mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
• Able to lead and mentor a team
• Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
• Basic knowledge of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine
• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
