Responsibilities

Loom is looking for a Senior Product Designer on our Workflows Integrations team, responsible for delivering Loom integrations within the Atlassian product suite, working alongside a Lead Product Designer. You'll design Loom’s embedded experiences end-to-end — from recording to playback to organization - reaching millions of people inside the Atlassian products they already use every day for work.

Together, we’ll empower our customers to collaborate in a richer, more engaging way through asynchronous video via a seamless experience between videos, documents, and the workflows between them. At Atlassian, we're not just building products; we're creating a movement, and you’ll play a key role in crafting experiences that change the way the world works. We're not just a part of Atlassian; we're the driving force behind changing async behavior through video.

This is a remote role. To help our teams work together, you must be located between PST and EST.

What you'll do

  • Impact millions of users globally as you empower them to maximize the full potential of Loom and Atlassian products

  • Lead and deliver complex and high-impact product design projects that help raise the quality bar for our users - from conceptual models to UI design.

  • Contribute to Loom's strategy on how loom works better together with other Atlassian and external products from a user’s perspective

  • Collaborate with a range of cross-functional teams (including Engineering, Product Management, Research, Design, Marketing, and Data Science) across our Atlassian product portfolio.

  • Conduct user research , using various methods and principles to gain insights into customer needs and inform design solutions.

  • Contribute to our Design System by creating new components, templates, and guidelines

  • Mentor designers and contribute to cultivating a design culture that yields designers to do their best work

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in Product Design

  • An outstanding portfolio, with presentable case studies showcasing a foundation in typography, interaction and visual design, product sense, and idea generation.

  • Strong UX-design skillset encompassing designing thinking methods, user research, persona development, concept modelling, flow diagrams, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, etc.

  • Proficiency in iterative design processes: constantly sketching, sharing work, validating with customers, iterating, shipping, and learning.

  • Experience in conducting and applying user research

  • Experience collaborating with a diverse team in a rapid growth environment. Huge plus if you’ve worked with distant teammates and understand the communication patterns of working with highly distributed teams.

  • A learning and growth mindset: Our team size and our design process will evolve and change many times over the next few years. We strive to continuously improve and integrate what we learn — from our work and with each others

  • Empathy and resilience: empathy for our customers, to build a product and a service they’ll love. Empathy for our coworkers, to build a workplace we’ll love. Resilience to be able to take feedback from anywhere, consider it gracefully, and fold it into your thinking and your work.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and storytelling skills

To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones.
