Mission and Goals

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Digital Media Analyst who is passionate about leveraging data insights to drive informed decision-making and optimize business strategies in the dynamic digital media space. As a key member of our Media team, you will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, identifying actionable intelligence, and translating findings into strategic recommendations that propel our organization forward. You will report to our VP of Publisher Partnerships and Media and will become a subject matter expert. As a Senior Digital Media Analyst, you will deeply understand the end-to-end workflow, data sets, and goals to enable your ability to recommend improvements, optimizations, and bigger solutions.
 

Objectives

  • Strategize with Media Team leadership to develop a cohesive and comprehensive understanding of the key drivers of the business, and leverage that understanding to achieve goals and move the company forward.
  • Ingest and aggregate key performance data, KPIs and operational data sets (for example keywords/groups, ads, bidding, creative assets, etc)
  • Design and maintain end-to-end models in collaboration with Data Engineering, Data Product and Media Teams to drive insights and actionable intelligence to media buyers.
  • Participate and drive analysis of large digital marketing data, including traffic, revenue/cost, conversion trends, client success metrics, audience insights, forecasts etc., to identify patterns and provide actionable insights to drive growth, optimization, cost cutting and performance improvement.
  • Conceptualize and utilize statistical methods and data visualization techniques to convey a compelling business case for implementing recommendations based on data insights. Build relationships with the Data Science Team for advanced data modeling.
  • Proactively share insights and strategic recommendations with measurable and sizable business impact, offering solutions that consider the needs and goals of multiple business units.
  • Partner with the Yield and Data Science teams to drive decision-making via critical, time-sensitive insights about our publisher partners, ad placements, and opportunities to improve KPIs.
  • Drive meaningful conversations with Data Engineering and Data Analytics to improve data access, data platform, data flow and data accuracy
  • Pivot quickly and smoothly between high-priority projects and changing business needs based on goals.
  • Foster solid working relationships with co-workers, leadership, and stakeholders to develop and maintain alignment in priorities, strategy, and vision across crucial initiatives.

Competencies

  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant work experience in digital marketing analytics within a digital advertising/marketing/media company.
  • Strong background in analytics, understanding of concepts like Statistical Significance and data modelling
  • BA/BS in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or related field (MBA is a plus)
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge in utilizing BI tools, such as Tableau.
  • Exceptionally high standards in communicating the results of analysis in a clear and effective manner.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and confidence to deliver technical information succinctly and assertively to non-technical audiences.
