Job Summary
Summary:
As a Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all activities within the warehouse to ensure efficient operations, inventory accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory accuracy, product distribution, and turnover.
- Ensure quality, cleanliness, merchandising, customer service, and adherence to company policies and programs.
- Review service frequencies to maximize sales while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Schedule and adjust warehouse structure to improve productivity, control overtime, manage employee scheduling, and ensure adequate labor coverage.
- Oversee all aspects of building maintenance, including repairs, housekeeping, and security.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of warehouse supervisory or related experience.
- Background in warehouse operations, facilities maintenance, support services, military, or housekeeping.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Strong written communication skills for reports and business correspondence.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Union experience preferred.
- Proficiency in computer skills and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet navigation.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, lifting, and carrying items up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment and tools safely.
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures, including refrigerated environments.
- Must be able to climb ladders or stairs as needed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Work Schedule
- Days: Sunday through Thursday
- Hours: 2:00 PM – Close (Typically 10:30 PM for an 8-hour shift, but work continues until the job is complete, which may extend to 11:00 PM or 12:00 AM)
