Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Perivascular Cell Biology

Dr. Enis Kostallari’s group is looking for a Postdoctoral Scientist/Research Fellow to join the team and study liver pericytes, named hepatic stellate cells, during liver fibrosis. Dr. Kostallari’s team investigates how metabolism in hepatic stellate cells drives epigenetic modifications, which lead to specific gene programs that are important for the amplification of liver fibrosis. Dr. Kostallari’s research program is NIH-funded and the group is seeking an enthusiastic new team member with preferred (but not required) experience in molecular and cell biology, in vivo experimentation, liver biology and bioinformatics. The qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications. In return, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to work independently and collaboratively within our outstanding Multidisciplinary Research Liver Unit, access to state-of-the-art technology, and receive a tailored mentorship towards their specific career goals. Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program. Research Fellow is appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere.
