<h1><b>About the Role:</b></h1><p></p><p><b>Grade Level (for internal use):</b></p>11<p><b><u>The Team:</u></b></p><p></p><p>The EMEA Emerging Markets team is comprised of corporate and project finance analysts located across various offices including Dubai, Madrid, Paris, Stockholm, and Johannesburg. We are a dynamic group covering over 125 rated corporates, and project finance transactions, across Turkey, Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa. We are focused on delivering high-quality analysis and excellent client service within transaction-oriented sectors.</p><p></p><p><b><u>The Impact:</u></b></p><p></p><p>In this role, you will provide insightful credit risk analysis that influences rating decisions. Your interactions with Finance and Treasury teams of rated entities will enhance our understanding of market dynamics, while your engagement with investors and market participants will support our commitment to transparency and communication in the debt markets. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the credit landscape within a wide range of Corporates and Infrastructure companies, in all sectors, across those dynamic and fast-growing markets.</p><p></p><p><b><u>What you stand to Gain:</u></b></p><p></p><p>This position offers an exceptional opportunity to gain exposure to S&amp;P Global Ratings’ Corporate &amp; Infrastructure Practice, with analysts located globally. You will also develop a deep understanding of dynamics in emerging and frontier markets and work closely with other global analysts covering corporates and infrastructure in other developing jurisdictions, like Latin America or Southeast Asia.</p><p></p><p><b><u>Responsibilities and Impact:</u></b></p><p></p><ul><li><p>Formulate and clearly articulate credit rating recommendations based on comprehensive analysis of financial statements, deep understanding of macroeconomics and financing conditions and debt documentation.</p></li><li><p>Develop insightful and forward-looking company and sector-level credit rating research. The analyst will be covering several sectors (like commodities, utilities, telecommunications, transportation infrastructure, consumer goods) in both emerging and frontier economies.</p></li><li><p>Lead interactions and management with senior executives from (CEO, CFO, Treasury teams) and be capable to conduct in-depth analytical discussion on <span>credit/financial/industry</span> topics with assertiveness.</p></li><li><p>Manage relationships with rated issuers and investors, ensuring effective communication and service delivery.</p></li><li><p>Communicate with investors and market participants through high-quality sector and company reports, presentations, and direct engagement.</p></li><li><p>Thoroughly document supporting analyses to ensure clarity and transparency in credit rating decisions.</p></li><li><p>Present and defend conclusions to the credit rating committee in a coherent and logical manner.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with other analysts within the Ratings teams, notably sovereigns and financial institutions, to enhance cross-sector knowledge and skills.</p></li><li><p>All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.</p></li><li><p>We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&amp;P Global Ratings office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>What We’re Looking For:</u></b></p><p></p><ul><li><p>Have strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of financial statements and accounting concepts. An S&amp;P Global employee at this level would typically have 3-4 years of experience and a master's degree in relevant fields, such as Finance, Economics or Business Administration.</p></li><li><p>Strong interest in Emerging Markets and macroeconomics is a necessity, any prior exposure to those markets (irrespective of the asset class) is a plus. French language skills could be a plus as credit coverage could comprise corporates in the Francophone part of Africa.</p></li><li><p>An ability and interest in complex financial modelling to analyze a company’s capital structure, liquidity, and forecasts, in an independent way. This includes cases with complex country and sovereign risks to analyze.</p></li><li><p>Strong accounting skills.</p></li><li><p>Experience in analyzing debt/instrument documentation and transaction structures.</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication and presentation skills.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated initi
