Wage Range: $11.75-12.75/hour

 

Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position): 

To support the work of the Nourishing Vocation Project (NVP) and Nourishing Vocation with Children (NVC) through providing program assistance with the Conference on Worship, Theology, and the Arts (CWTA), held July 20-22, 2026, and the Spiritual Renewal Retreat, held July 17-20, 2026.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • On site support for the Conference on Worship, Theology, and the Arts (CWTA)
    • Assist with the preparation and distribution of materials
    • Provide a warm welcome and support to conference participants
    • Drive participants around campus (if golf cart driver qualifications are met)
    • Support conference attendees staying on campus in the residence halls including check-in, room assignments, and other assigned tasks to make guests comfortable. Be on call and stay in residence halls for issues that arise in residence halls. 
  • On site leadership for conference components
    • Provide leadership for a specific portion of the conference, yet to be assigned
    • Actively contribute to running a smooth event, including, but not limited to, assisting with registration, supporting breakout session facilitators, and providing directions to guests
  • Advertising for the Conference on Worship, Theology, and the Arts (CWTA)
    • Create and refine social media posts
    • Update and maintain CWTA website
  • Provide support for other projects as assigned 

 

Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills) 

Required:

  • Current St. Olaf student with at least one semester of experience as a student
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including ability to complete work independently, self-motivation, and initiative 
  • Interest in the work of the Lutheran Center 
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week July 13-24, 2026, in person at St. Olaf
  • Technology skills relevant to the work requested

 

Preferred:

  • Previous experience with Christian congregations
  • Religious literacy
  • Current driver’s license
  • Previous experience in web design
  • Previous experience with Canva
