Job Description

• Receive and Log-in samples using company LIMS system
• Pressurize canister samples
• Read, understand, and carry out Standard Operating procedures required by the method, Air Toxics methods, clients, or internal procedures
• Perform all documentation, sample preparation, standard preparation, and data handling following SOPs or methods
• Perform routine maintenance on the pressurization instruments
• Perform miscellaneous support functions for the departments as requested by management
• Provide timely support and response to the daily requests
• Communicate roadblocks in performing the assigned routine and non-routine tasks
• Screen samples  
• Evaluate the results and “red tag” high level samples
• Prepare Tedlar Bag and canister dilution and re-screen when saturated level of analyte is present

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Strong sense of initiative, detail oriented with a hands-on approach and the ability to work efficiently and accurately within a fast paced environment

• Strong organization and time management skills in order to meet project deadlines
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong team working skills and the ability to conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Understanding of basic laboratory techniques
• Strong computer skills (MS Word and Excel)
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and effectively use resources to solve problems
• Able to perform the physical requirements of the job
• Able to work a full-time shift (M-F) during training; flexible to rotate weekends and overtime as necessary
• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Compensation range: $18 - $21 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

Position is full-time, Monday through Friday with flexibility to move to Tuesday -Saturday or 2:30pm -11:00pm
