The Supervisor, Diagnostic Warehouse Operations will serve as the overall floor manager for day-to-day operation of the warehouse. This individual should be highly organized, have a keen eye for detail, and work diligently to build and develop a strong warehouse team. Collaborative management and teamwork are a must in this role as we all work together to innovate creative solutions, expand our team rapidly, and maintain our overall level of excellence.
The Supervisor, Diagnostic Warehouse Operations will be tasked with understanding a wide range of skills and systems including our inventory management and fulfillment system, internal databases, Courier tracking, and general daily outbound and inbound protocols and procedures.

What to Expect:
Shift: Monday through Friday
Hours: 7:00 am – 4:30 pm
Status: Exempt
Location: Madison, WI
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervises the day-to-day operations of the floor at the warehouse and product replenishment at the local lab.
- 60% of time will be working the floor by assisting and controlling the workflow.
- 40% of time will be paperwork
- Observes Universal Precautions procedures (safety guideline)
- Makes appropriate improvements to department processes and procedures
- Participate in the hiring of skilled associates
- Provides Monthly Metrics and Other Reports to Management
- Develops individual associate’s skills, standards and morale through training and coaching
- Directs, supports and delegates tasks as appropriate to an individual associate’s skill level
- Understand and effectively communicate company policies to ensure compliance and consistent administration
- Understands and analyzes daily, weekly, and monthly usage; to adjust stock levels accordingly
- Understands all safety procedures; ensure safe work practices are followed and maintain a safe work environment
- Takes appropriate actions regarding employee counseling and recommend disciplinary actions when necessary
- Day to day management of all inbound / outbound supplies and freight.
- Management of warehouse employees (10-15 people) and work to develop a cross functional group to increase efficiencies and scalability
- Manages inventory and maintain regular cycle counts
- Ensures Warehouse organization to maintain efficient operations, safety procedures and general cleanliness
- Coordinates receipt, delivery and put away of inventory and non-inventory items
- Assists in planning and implementation of department initiatives in collaboration with the Logistics Manager
- Conducts team meetings to ensure all processes are up to date and being followed accurately
- Leads in the training of all new employees and/or temps
- Serves as the lead motivator of the Warehouse team to achieve daily, weekly, monthly and annual warehouse goals and objectives
- Keeps a keen eye on ways to improve processes while maintaining the highest levels of satisfaction and a low error rate
- Communicates concisely and effectively with various levels within an organization
Education and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous supervisory experience required
- 2-3 years of applicable experience, Diagnostic Warehousing - preferred
- Valid Driver’s License along with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

- Knowledge of Inventory Tracking Software/Warehouse Management Systems
