About the role
Job Description Summary
As a leader in the GE Vernova Global Health Services Team, you will be central to driving health system improvement. You will work within the central EHS team supporting the Chief Medical Officer to deliver integrated, standardized medical services. These services will include Health Data Systems and Security, Vendor and Contract Management, Drug Free Workplace Program, Budget adherence and oversee compliance for employee’s health screening programs as required by role, risk, customer requirement or regulations.Job Description
Responsibilities:
Dispersed Medical Services:
- Support business segments via our EHS management to implement health surveillance exams for employees that work remotely or at a GE Vernova site without an onsite clinic.
- Coordinate/monitor Medical Surveillance Exams in accordance with OSHA and GE Vernova requirements or any other governing regulatory Provincial or Federal requirements.
- Coordinate other medical screening programs related to fitness for travel, duty or assignment as needed/requested.
- Collaborate in the development and management of occupational health policies and guidelines.
- Collaborate with health stakeholders including leadership, management and functional groups across the organization as a Health Services Team Leader.
- Overseas the management of the Company’s Drug and Alcohol Program and any business required drug/alcohol testing as part of regulations or customer requirement.
- Coordinate customer required medical requirements.
- Act as liaison for all Labor and Employment review cases, from a medical services perspective.
- Act as a strong employee advocate while balancing adherence to company policies, compliance and legislative requirements.
Operational Management:
- Vendor/Contract Management – Manage Health Services suppliers contracts and partner with Sourcing for review of contractual agreements to adhere with GE Vernova sourcing guidelines.
- Budget Adherence - Manage annual budgets and financial projections. Handle PO and invoice management of core suppliers utilized by GE Vernova within Health Services (e.g., EMR software, Regional Medical Leads, International SOS).
- Data Security/ System Management – Serve as System Administrator for the employee occupational health electronic medical record system. Ensure proper workflow processes, provide user support/configuration updates, and deliver training as needed. Partner with GE Vernova’s data privacy Legal Team for compliance adherence for Protected Health Information (PHI) data in all regions.
- Project Management – Manage various Health Services Projects such as RFP’s, ITO requests, or as requested
- Process Improvement – Creates systems and health reports to facilitate data analysis to identify areas for improvement, streamline workflows, and utilize lean tools for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
- Minimum Five (5) years’ experience supporting a drug free workplace and health services programs for a large global employer.
- Team leader with experience in managing up to 5 senior medical services employees.
- Minimum Five (7) years’ project management experience
Desired Characteristics:
- Computer proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SmartSheet, Tableau, Power BI or similar health dashboards.
- Ability to drive excellence and proven awareness of cultural differences and how to engage and partner together in a multinational work environment.
- Strong stakeholder management, excellent communication skills and presentation skills.
- Strategic planning with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate business needs, proactively develop and execute innovative projects/ programs to strategically address needs.
- Act with Global & Lean process standard work mindset. Experience in handling escalated employee issues and collaborating with other functional roles, i.e., HR and L&E.
