The role: 

  • CCR prides itself on a non-hierarchical team structure that is oriented around individual performance and capability
  • The new hire will have the opportunity to learn new skills, gain deep exposure to multiple facets of a growing industry, rapidly develop their career, and earn highly competitive pay
  • The new hire will report to Director, Corporate Development in the Chief Investment Officer’s (CIO) office, and will be tasked with: 
    • Developing strategy with a proactive approach to driving strategic acquisitions, investments, and partnerships to facilitate long term growth and exit planning
    • Building and sustaining complex financial and valuation models, providing a robust framework for analyzing and evaluating potential acquisitions
    • Undertaking extensive market research to map competitive landscape and discern industry trends, determine economic viability, and provide the analysis and insights that inform strategic decisions
    • Sourcing and managing a strong pipeline of potential acquisition targets, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic vision
    • Regularly providing well-crafted strategic and competitive intelligence reports to the Senior Management and the Board, aiding in strategic decision-making
    • Manage all aspects of the transaction process, including due diligence, financial modeling, valuation analysis, business case creation, and integration planning
    • Identify, screen, value, and conduct due diligence on adjacency acquisition targets in the alternative energy and disruptive technologies space
  • Other notable responsibilities and tasks:
  • Work closely with the company’s Development, Capital Markets, Structured Finance, M&A, Investment Analytics, and Executive teams to review strategic initiatives and capital investments
  • In addition to close collaboration with the CIO, the new hire will have the opportunity to work closely with the Chief Financial, Operating, and Executive Officers on strategic initiatives
  • Exact title will be commensurate with experience  

 

Core Qualification:

  • BA/BS degree (MBAs welcome) 
  • At least two years of Excel-based financial modeling experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Strong desire to work in the renewable energy industry 
  • Self-motivated with a high level of initiative, attention to detail, and accountability 
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a deadline driven environment 
  • Organized, diligent, and able to track/manage multiple streams of information on an ongoing basis

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • At least two years of finance experience in investment banking, private equity, principal investing, structured/project finance, or corporate development
  • Successful completion of an Excel-based modeling test will be required

 

Locations: This resource will be based in either our San Francisco, CA or New York City office in a Hybrid capacity. 

 

Compensation: The salary range for the position is $$90,000-$145,000 plus bonus and benefits. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
