Athletic Operations Assistant

- Supervise all aspects of game day operations at assigned home events, serve as game day administrator including set up, break down, staff supervision and crowd control; serve as administrator on duty for specified home events
- Assist with equipment and uniform operations for all athletic teams including inventory, conditioning, repair, maintenance; primary responsibility for football equipment
- Adhere to NCAA and Centennial Conference guidelines
- Communicate effectively with head coaches, staff, and student-athletes to ensure that athletic team needs are being satisfied
- Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director and Director of Athletics
- Collaborate with campus partners including facilities staff, cleaning services, campus safety
- Assist with maintenance and preparation of fields, facilities, equipment, and athletics venues
This person needs strong communication and organizational skills. This person must be prepared to troubleshoot any potential problems and must also work with coaches and staff to keep up with any NCAA and Conference changes. A flexible work schedule (including nights and weekends) is a requirement based on scheduled events. This person must be able work with and supervise student workers for each home event and any additional help as needed. This position must interact in a professional manner with a diverse group of staff, faculty, students and the community in a service-oriented environment.
- Associate degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Previous experience in collegiate athletics preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational, delegation and planning ability
- Must be able to think independently, work as a member of a team and be proactive
- Knowledge of NCAA Division III and Centennial rules and regulations
- Experience in field preparation and maintenance is preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to cover athletic events
- Must be able to do minor repairs and upgrades
