About the role

New Graduates Welcome! Find your purpose helping athletes and patients heal at the CentraCare Orthopedic Clinic located at the Plaza. 

The Certified Athletic Trainer will work directly with patients and providers, assist with clinic procedures such as injections and reductions, help cast/splint, and educate patients on injury prevention. Other duties include assessing, treating, and providing rehabilitation for musculoskeletal injuries, assisting patients with durable medical equipment and brace fitting, administering gait training and other therapeutic exercise, and guiding patients through physical exams and post-operative procedures.  This position may include providing minimal sideline coverage for local sports teams if needed. 

Schedule:

  • Full Time | 80 hours every two weeks
  • Monday-Friday 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and may require some after-hours sideline coverage for local sports teams and clubs.

Pay and Benefits:

  • Starting salary $49,524.80 annually; exact wage determined by years of related experience.
    • Salary range $47,253.49 to $70,912.30 annually
    • Salary and salary range based on a 1.0 full time equivalent (FTE). A reduced FTE will result in a prorated offer rate.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in athletic training or related field required; (master’s degree preferred).
  • Certified Athletic Trainer.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required per established policy

Relocation assistance requirements: Must accept a position that offers benefits and may not have worked for CentraCare in the last 9 months. Must currently reside more than 50 miles from primary work location and relocate to within 30 miles within 120 days.
