Beasley Flooring - NC - UTILITY (SORT)

Purpose: The purpose of this position is to ensure flooring products meet company quality standards, prior to being shipped out.
    
Essential Functions:
•    Cleans sorter building
•    Runs hog
•    Assists LTOs when necessary to keep production flowing
•    Serves as back-up Stick Feeder
•    Serves as back-up Utility Receiver
•    Helps rebuild bottoms for lumber storage in yard
•    Required to perform Front Descrambler or Back Descrambler duties when needed
•    When equipment is down, the employee will perform cleanup or help with repair
•    Other duties as assigned.
 

Physical/Safety Requirements:
    
1.    Must be able to bend, squat, reach, and stoop several times a day.
2.    Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours a day.
3.    Must be able to lift 1-10 lbs. on a regular basis throughout the day (handling materials).
4.    Must be able to visualize defects in the product while material is moving.
5.    Must be able to safely work around moving machinery and focus on the importance of hand safety.
6.    Must be able to work in industrial environment with elevated noise levels, dust, dirt, humidity, and temperature variations
7.    Must be able to follow all other general plant safety requirements.
