Job Description
Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Mission Technologies Warfare Systems partners with the DoD and defense innovation ecosystem to rapidly acquire and field critical and emerging technologies, particularly integrated communications, networking, and Systems-of-Systems (SoS) technologies, to enhance national security and warfighter capabilities. Through a multiagency contracting approach, the Collaborative Operations for Battlespace Resilient Architecture (COBRA) initiative focuses on advancing these technologies to achieve multi-domain battlespace integration and resilient command and control. This includes a broad range of services such as systems engineering, cybersecurity, operational integration, and data analytics, all aimed at modernizing communications and ensuring seamless information exchange for the DoD and its allies.
This role is part of a pending contract proposal. We are actively interviewing to identify qualified candidates in anticipation of a successful award.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Provides technical insight and on-site support to ensure the installation, maintenance, and functionality of equipment, systems, and technologies.
- Diagnoses and resolves technical issues by collaborating with cross-functional teams and using specialized tools and methodologies.
- Conducts routine maintenance and inspections to prevent system failures and optimize performance.
- Coordinates equipment setup, calibration, and troubleshooting at customer locations, ensuring adherence to operational guidelines and standards.
- Trains end-users on the operation and maintenance of systems, offering guidance and resolving queries to ensure effective use.
- Provides reports and documentation on service activities, repairs, and system upgrades.
- Maintains proficiency in emerging technologies to implement solutions that enhance system reliability and efficiency.
- Demonstrates exceptional problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service in dynamic environments.
- Contributes to project success by supporting system integration and ensuring client satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
- Must Possess an active Secret clearance at the time of application
- Ability to analyze system requirements and develop engineering specifications
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across engineering lifecycle phases
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in technical documentation
Preferred Requirements
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools like MagicDraw or Cameo
- Prior experience working with military or aerospace platforms
- Master’s degree in a technical discipline is a plus
