Salary: $2,281.11 bi-weekly ($59,308.86 annually) (In accordance with current spending restrictions, if the appointment is an internal promotion, the position will be filled at the minimum of the pay grade or up to 5% of the employee’s current rate, whichever higher.)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The incumbent of position spends the majority of time communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees, planning, and directing employee's work.
Federal Unit Supervisor
- Provides direct supervision for Juvenile Justice and delinquency Prevention program staff.
- Communicates with, motivate, train, evaluate, and provide guidance to direct reports.
- Plan tri-weekly Federal staff meetings.
- Participates in weekly meetings with direct reports.
- Corresponds daily to direct reports
- Reviews and edits (as needed) staff assignments and documents for external release and for Prevention Leadership.
Juvenile Justice Specialist
- Coordinates Juvenile Justice strategic planning efforts and administers federal grant money.
- Serves as Liaison to the Federal and State Government.
- Participates on monthly conference all for Juvenile Justice Specialists.
- Provides oversight of compliance monitoring activities and plans to maintain and/or achieve compliance with the core requirements of the Juvenile Justice Delinquency Act (JJDP) Act.
- Informs the State Advisory Group (SAG) members of monitoring site visits.
- Coordinates with compliance monitoring contractors on site visits for SAG.
- Provides information and awareness to SAG and Florida representatives on guidance to core requirements.
- Prepares for Program Monitoring visits (Secure dates, submit detailed itinerary prepare entrance/exit interview).
- Develops Florida site visit agenda.
- Compiles required federal documents for site visits.
- Facilitates Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) compliance monitoring audits.
- Reviews and edit annual compliance monitoring reports and submit to OJJDP.
- Reviews, edit, and submits the applications for OJJDP grant funding for Title II, Title V, and JABG.
- Coordinates data collection and submit required programmatic reports to OJJDP on all Title II, Title V, and Juvenile Accountability Block Grants (JABG) activities.
- Meets with research and planning regarding all data collection timelines.
- Monitors grant activities to ensure that the federal funds are used appropriately and that grant deliverables are on target.
- Meets weekly with Federal Grants Coordinator.
- Accompanies Federal Grants Coordinator to all JABG monthly meetings.
- Meets with Budget Team.
. State Advisory Group (SAG) Activities
- Assures transparency of SAG activities and funding recommendations.
- Sends out electronic correspondence to SAG members.
- Coordinates SAG subcommittee development.
- Facilitates State Advisory Group (SAG) involvement in the development of the three-year Comprehensive Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Plan and annual updates.
- Ensures that SAG membership included qualified, designated, representatives per the JJDP Act.
- Works with the SAG Chair to plan, schedule, and prepare materials for SAG meetings.
- Holds monthly conference calls with SAG Chair to discuss potential agenda items and other significant SAG concerns.
