Production Supervisor - Bluffton, IN

COMPANY -  ADM Animal Nutrition is a livestock feed manufacturer, located in Bluffton, IN. We manufacture bag/bulk feed for most species, with an emphasis on swine, poultry, equine, and bovine. We operate in a TEAM environment.

POTENTIAL TASKS 

• Schedule and oversee manufacturing of product through all stages, including purchasing, receiving, weigh-up, mixing, pelleting, bagging, and on-time shipping
• Create and verify accuracy of all production records, from batch creation through shipment
• Order production-related supplies and raw materials, maintaining appropriate inventories, which ensure on-time manufacturing and shipping
• Provide location trainings in accordance with corporate and local guidance, and ensure all expectations have been met on time (LOTO, CSDs, tornado/fire drills, Confined Space, various audits, inspections, etc.)
• Manage PPE acquisition and distribution (safety glasses, hard hats, harnesses, safety boots, etc.)
• Safely operate forklifts, trucks and all other equipment on property  
• Perform monthly random drug tests for hourly colleagues as drawn
• Accurately pick orders and load/unload product as needed
• Perform routine housekeeping duties and cleaning of equipment and buildings
• Assist operations personnel, maintenance personnel and supervisors as needed
• Cover colleague absences to keep operations in motion
• Model safe behaviors, team mindset, and mutual respect in all aspects of daily work
• All other responsibilities as assigned or requested

QUALIFICATIONS 
To be considered for an opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Commitment to ADM's goal of achieving a zero injury culture and understand/follow company safety procedures
• Exhibit consistent, prompt attendance
• Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), lift up to 55 lbs. unassisted, shovel material and operate a vacuum
• Be willing to learn and professionally utilize Oracle, Gemini, Sphera, and HireRight platforms, as well as Microsoft software (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) on a daily basis.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation
• Possess strong math aptitude and be familiar with basic computer skills
• Maintain a positive and respectful attitude at all times
• Show a sense of urgency but not recklessness
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

SCHEDULE - This is salary exempt position. Shift is primarily days M-F but must be willing to work alternate shifts (and possibly occasional weekends) if needed. Demonstrate initiative to work independently on given assignments while remaining flexible enough to work within team setting.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
