ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Responsible for assisting in the training, implementation, and enforcement of the property SARC/Title 31 and Responsible Gaming compliance programs.
  • Coordinates regulatory activities to provide optimum support to all departments and Manager.
  • Maintains organized set of detailed records and files to document transactions.
  • Assists in compilation of reports for Mississippi Gaming Commission and assists in submission of necessary paperwork on behalf of Manager, as needed.
  • Responsible for tracking and maintaining of Mississippi Gaming Commission’s approval documentation for any property matters, as necessary.
  • Performs research, as necessary, for small daily projects and questions to large-scale implantation procedures.  Reports findings to Manager.
  • Assists in audit of Self-Exclusion program, as necessary.
  • Maintains necessary compliance logs and ensures they are updated.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. 
  • Assists Manager with administrative duties, as needed.
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
  • Audits CTR and SARC and/or Title 31 and Responsible Gaming programs, in accordance with property’s established compliance guidelines.
  • Conducts Responsible Gaming interviews as directed by the department Director
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS  

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • High school diploma or GED required; one or more years’ experience in compliance or governmental affairs; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Casino experience required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (World, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of Casino Operations software and equipment.
  • Must have excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES                                                    

This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills
