About the Role

We empower our product teams to solve hard problems – customer problems and business problems – in ways that our customers love, while driving maximum impact to the business. We staff our product teams with the skills necessary to identify effective solutions that are valuable (our customers choose to use), viable (solution works within the many constraints of the business), usable (user can figure out how to use) and feasible (our engineers have the skills and technology to implement). The product manager is accountable for ensuring the solution is both valuable and viable.

About The Job:

The Finance product manager contributes a solid knowledge of the various constraints of the business such as services, finance, legal, and privacy. The product manager also contributes a deep knowledge of our users and customers, and the data about how our customers engage with our products. Finally, the product manager is expected to track Finance industry trends and the technology landscape and use these inputs to define a product vision, strategy and roadmap.

We look for product managers who understand that consistent innovation is the result of each member of the team contributing their ideas. This role collaborates closely with product design, architects and business partners to discover the most impactful solutions, and then work together to deliver those solutions.

While we empower our product teams to identify the best solutions to problems that need to be solved, we also hold those teams accountable to the results. Shipping is necessary, but not sufficient. We look for product managers who are not afraid of signing up for results, even when this means they have to work through others to achieve the necessary results.

This job is an individual contributor role. You will need to influence your teammates, as well as colleagues, stakeholders, and key executives, through your use of data and logic.

About You

Basic Qualifications

• 6-8 years working on technology-powered Finance products as a product manager, product designer, engineer, data analyst, data scientist, or user researcher.
• Demonstrated understanding of modern product discovery and product delivery techniques and methods.
• Strong ability to understand and interpret data to develop hypothesis, define experiments to prove (or disprove)
• Experience collecting, synthesizing, and prioritizing user input from multiple sources (users, leaders, competitors, market factors, partners, engineering, management, etc.).
• Proven ability to learn multiple functional areas of business – engineering, design, or Finance
• Ability to identify solutions to hard problems with many constraints, assess risks, and lay out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative.
• Proven ability to engage with engineers, designers, and company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationship
